It received the name of the Pathfinder Division, which is represented in the insignia by the gold arrow, pointing upward.
"Pathfinder" Division
Authorized 17 December 1917 to be formed from Regular Army units, formed from 17 December 1917 to 17 October 1918. Movement overseas completed 9 November 1918.
